Really loving colour and patterns lately. I’ve also been painting old pots and jars to plant beautiful succulents (see my instagram).

Anyone else a fan of the movie The Princess Bride? It’s one of my all time favourite movies. My sister and I are always quoting from it (anyone want a peanut?).
Anyway, I did a printable quote the other week on one of my other favourite movies, The Lion King (see here) and The Princess Bride was always going to be next. Unfortunately, “My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepared to die” wouldn’t look too great up on a wall, but I did the next best quote “As You Wish”, who is said by farm boy Westley in the film.
I also think these quote prints would look great as desktop wallpaper. Maybe I should do a collection of wallpapers! That’s something to think about, what do you guys think? Anyway, send me pictures if you use this print! I’d love to see how you use it.
Once in a while, I hone in on my artistic skills. Mind you, it’s been a LONG while, but I want to improve the amount of painting I do. I thought I’d give you guys a PEEK of the sketches floating around in my sketchbook. I aim to do this every month (we’ll see how long this really goes on for).
These flowers are painted in Gouache. Just me fiddling with the different colours and shapes of the flowers. I really like painting in Gouache even though I can never and will ever be able to spell it correctly without looking it up first. (Is that even how you spell it now?)
Some doodles of bunnies and winter in my sketchbook. Painted with pencils and black markers.
It inspires me when I read blogs that share what’s in their sketchbook. Hopefully this will help you (yes, you… hello there!) to be inspired as well.
